Buying a print is a great way to get the art you love in the exact size you need and framing a print couldn’t be easier!

Burnout. Apparently very common among artists and sadly everywhere else as well. I always thought I was immune, that I was the one person gifted with endless energy and a doer of all the things.

So many stay away from making art out of the fear that it won’t be good enough,  I know I did for a long time. Well, let’s talk a bit about what that even means. 

It’s January and I do like everyone else at the moment - produce ambitious plans for the year to come. I even bought a really expensive paper planner this time around for some extra motivation.

Have you read ”The war of art” by Steven Pressfield? I did recently and so many light bulbs went on. Right before I’m putting brush to paper I get such urgent need to;

-Go to the bathroom

-Find another audio book to listen to

-Do the laundry

-Browse Instagram

-Etc. Etc. Etc.

So, a month has past in my new life and it’s hard to imagine another way of living. So far loneliness really hasn’t had the chance to set in. I’m laughing out loud at podcasts, chatting with Siri (the cat, not the phone) and somehow writing this makes me feel like I’m having a conversation. This will likely change in time but so far I’ve stayed sane I think.(?)

Fluid inks. I’d seen them used all over Instagram and had been curious for quite some time - could it be the perfect link in combining watercolors and inks..? I bought a couple of bottles that stared at me for quite some time before I got myself in the headspace of total immersion.
